AB 10 VL, fantastic dinghy

If you want the fiberglass model then the 10 VL is the way to go, you do not need the bow locker. It gets in the way.

If you can afford it, then I would move up to the 10 AL model, it is the best.

This commonly includes the bow locker and ordering it without the bow locker is a special order.

AS for motors, if you will ever get to the Abacos, like in the next 2-5 years, then I would buy a cheap used 4 hp for now to use until then. At that point I would then buy the Yamaha 15 2 stroke in Abaco. Hands down the best motor on the planet. $2500 this summer (2014) at Abaco Yacht Services on Green Turtle Cay!

Yes, the ROCNA 55 lb anchor (25 kg) is fantastic and has worked very well now for two years for us. The 5/15 HT chain is perfect. It has a breaking strength of 4,000 lbs (3900 actually) It will hold your 380.

Maybe you can find a used 15, two stroke. Do not give up on this idea. It is perfect with the AB 10.

I did not look at the other dinghies. I am sold on the AB product line. I have the 10 footer VL light fiberglass, but again, if I could afford it I would get the 10 foot aluminum one.

It is 117 lbs.
It takes a 20 hp motor, but I would use the yamaha 15 hp two stroke.
