The BLOG project was a one year study taking WordPress MU, multiuser and applying this to the Island Packet Fleet. This was a good idea a few years back in 2008-9 when not many owners had blogs. So, I bought http://WPMU.org and spent a full year working up the idea and it seemed like a great feature for the fleet.

Then Blogger and Wordpress really took off and I decided it would be better to NOT host everyone's blog, but to rather access each owner's blog via RSS. Using this technology I could then index and pull every owners' blog into a system in IPYOA. This would make far more sense and would not place the solre responsibility of all blogs onto me.

After a year of work and study and installation and configuration, I have decided to take the system offline and remove it. Today, I recommend that we all use Blogger or Wordpress or SailBlogs and manage your own blog. Once you have a blog, please add your URL into the LINKS section and we will index this into the RSS feeds.
