Galileo Teak Refinishing

Saturday - October 3, 2009Views: 4166
Gerry and I spent this past Summer refinishing the teak on Galileo. It had worn thin during our 08 Fall and 09 Winter/Spring Florida trip. Since we had spent five months on Galileo we were willing to dedicate this Summer to this task. Weather wasn't fully copperative thus it really took all Summer. We used a pair of Black and Decker Mini-Mouse Sanders since they have a nice set of attachments for the various shapes and curves of teak on Island Packets.

We finished the teak with Cetol Marine Light and Cetol Marine Gloss.

Looks pretty good at this stage. Still have bottom of Cap rail and Rub rail to do which we will accomplish on the hard in a couple of weeks from now, before really cold weather arrives here on the eastern shore of Maryland.
