A day of sailing on Lake Superior, four Septembers past.

This is the pared remix of a longer, duller version I posted on Youtube at the time.

It's funny - HD is wonderful and yet there's still something effective (to me) about this old 4:3 footage. Reclaimed and lo-fi, the images suggest the effort it took to produce them, like the grooves in a vinyl record, or the pencil marks on the doorframe where you once measured your kids and now can't bring yourself to paint over.
