Chain Plate Replacement 1/2

After listening to the discussion last year about IP-37 chainplates failing, I decided to take on the task myself. While the job is not terribly difficult, it is tedious. I have kudos for IP's construction quality and frustrations over their lack of planning to allow for the replacment of parts that are known to fail. It took me about 30 working days to replace all 8 chain plates. I had the new plates fabricated from 316 stainless one size thicker than the originals. The costs were $900 for the new plates, $50 for the glass, and ~$200 for epoxy (I waste a lot).
