At this web site we show how we REMOVED THE HELM and replaced the helm with the new (then) Edson CD-I below decks system. We hired Rob Glebe for 10 weeks, 40 hrs/week to do this job! Hope IP35 BLOG Carol and Bill went to dinner on their birthday in 1989 and have been together ever since. They married in 1993. For their tenth anniversary, they retired, sailed across the Great Lakes, out the St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia, down the East Coast, and on to Trinidad, a 6000 nautical mile trip. They are now sailing around in the Eastern Caribbean.

IP40 Daniell Storey After much thought and discussion, we decided it was time to make a major change in our daily lives. We had achieved much in the past 30 years: raising a family of 5 children, starting a couple of business, climbing the corporate ladder in 2 major companies and a host of other so called accomplishments. We had had enough of the rat race. Our goal was to simplify, divest, invest and refine our path to personal and spiritual growth. In January 2006, we purchased a 1998 Island Packet 40 named Ariadne from Island Yachting Centre in Bradenton, Florida. Over the next few months we left our jobs, sold our home and vehicles, gave away much, and put into storage enough stuff to give us a start if and when we decide to live on land again.
