Since Judy and I are new sailors and New IP Owners, we take every opportunity to view photos of other IPs on Yacht World. One of the most common galley upgrades is an enclosed "Spice Rack" behind the stove with sliding doors identical to those above the refrigeration unit. The other upgrade is a matching counter insert on the stove top. Our question is where is the counter insert stored when the stove top is in use? Is it stored behind the stove? Does the wider enclosed "spice rack" cause difficulties storing the insert behind the stove? How well does it handle rough water when in position on the stove? I can't see reinventing the wheel if so many IPs already have a working design.
Another common upgrade is counter inserts over both sink openings. Sorry, we use the sink way too often to even think about that one. But if we find a good design, the stove top insert and enclosed spice rack are in the plans.
Thank you,
Bill & Judy
