WiFi & Computer Networks

Each winter I do a seminar in George Town, Exuma Bahamas, on all forms of Wireless Communications.

I discuss the challenges present all the way from VHF and HF radio, Cellular and Satellite telephony, and WiFi along with alternative ways to access internet communications. Due to the typical challenges present in the medium most preferred, I take the most time discussing WiFi.

This PDF by Bobby W. identifies the ultimate and best set up for WiFi onbaord. Bobby has tried many systems and this one has perfromed the best. This system uses the Bullet2hp radio connected to an Omni High Gain Antenna. The system is powered with 12 volts via an Ethernet wire using a POE, Power Over Ethernet injector.

Here is a help file on configuring the Bullet 2 HP with the Cradlepoint MRB 1000 EVDO Router. This will allow you to share the bullet 2 hp with a broadband card.
