Accommodations
The interior of the Island Packet 40 is wonderfully livable while offering a sensible and safe interior for passagemaking. Starting forward is the private owners cabin with pullman style berth with custom mattress to starboard, adjoining private head with shower, double hanging locker, storage bins and six cedar lined drawers. The main cabin, which is next aft, offers Island Packet's signature bulkhead mounted table, facing settees with a sit down nav station at the end of the starboard settee. A very large "L" shaped galley is aft of the nav station and to starboard of the companionway. Aft of the port settee is the guest head and aft of that is the guest cabin.

This is the standard Island Packet 40 layout but, that is where the similiarities ends. Papillon has been enhansed with satin and high gloss varnish throughout the interior and, of course, this was all professionally done. There are varnished ash battens on the hull sides, additional lighting behind book cases and closets and custom woodworking tidbits too numerous to mention.
